Danger: Criminals use computer technology to create virises on other computers. They can also use the computer to take information from the government, companies and others. but they don't just use the computer for this. They can obtain information of younge children and teens. You don't know who you could be talking to online.
Prevention: To provent these hackers from getting information you can take precisions. You can try to talk to people you know on the computer. You also can only give out little or no information. Parents can watch what ther kids are doing online. You have to examine child behavior online and offline. One last peice of information that you can do is to find a virus protection program. This will protect you from viruses and spam. You can protect yourself from hackers and the internet dangers.

Danger: Myspace and Facebook with more information than needed. The more personal information you put onto the sites the more you or your child is at risk. More and more people are dying because of these sites. Even though Facebook is a college website, you should still be aware of the danger you are putting yourself in. These websites are seen by millions of people each day.

Prevention: Do NOT put personal information on the sites.. ex: last name, phone number, address. Do NOT become "friends" with anyone you dont know. Think twice about talking to someone you don't know. If you are talking to someone you don't know, DON'T give them your address or phone number!!! and always check your child's site(s) regularly.

Danger:
Putting too much personal information about yourself can get you into trouble you may not be able to get out of. Myspace and Facebook are only two examples of websites where you can meet people and post information about yourself. Myspace is a website where anyone can post pictures and information about yourself. Facebook is almost the same as Myspace where you can post pictures and information about yourself but only college students are allowed.

Prevention:
Do NOT post information about yourself or others. Do NOT post your phone number, address, birthday or anything personal. When posting pictures do NOT make them sexual in any way. Predators are out there looking for easy victims. The easiest victims are the ones that post everything about themselves. I am not saying don't go on these websites i am saying that you need to be aware of the dangers that come along with having fun on these websites. ONLY talk to the people you know and no one else. Talking to people you don't know can get you in trouble.

Danger: internet predators are very devious. They can get information from kids through just knowing their name. Chatrooms are dangerous because people intentionally go on and try to get information on other people.
Prevention.it's a good idea to talk with your kids about your concerns, take advantage of resources to protect them from potential dangers, and keep a close eye on their activities. Never give out any personal information. the littlest information about yourself could possiably lead to danger.

Danger: internet addiction is not good because it can mess with people's minds. Young adults shouldn't be on the internet all the time because they could look up restricted sites or pictuers and even meet bad people online. When people bcome addicted they start to feel excited and are in a good mood, but when they leave the computer screen for a while they start to get depressed. Also the internet is very easy to go on because you don't need a liscense, you don't have to leave your house, and it is usually in you room.
Prevention: A good way to not become addicted to the internet is to not spend a lot of time on the computer, and focusing on more important things. Another way to prevent online use is parents should put a block on resricted websites. I am not saying it is bad to go on a computer, but people shouldn't spend to much time on it.
